The Living SEB app
This app (app link) allows using the Living SEB Project materials to navigate and meta-analyse evidence from all cross-sectional SEB studies.
Overview
The Living SEB App is an interactive Shiny application designed to explore, synthesize, and meta-analyse all available cross-sectional studies included in the Living SEB Project. It provides a transparent, continuously updated interface to examine study characteristics, extract effect sizes, and run reproducible analyses in real time.
Built as part of a broader effort to create a living, open, and cumulative evidence base on Social, Emotional, and Behavioral skills (SEB), the app allows researchers, students, and practitioners to interact with the data without needing to write any R code.

What you can do with the app
- Browse all included SEB studies with filters for samples, designs, measures, and variables.
- Inspect effect sizes and metadata for every association extracted in the review.
- Run on-the-fly meta-analyses (random/fixed models, moderators, subgroup analyses).
- Download the dataset used in the app for further analysis in R or other tools.
- Track updates as new studies are added to the living review.
Features at a glance
- ๐ Interactive visualizations of effect sizes, uncertainty, and heterogeneity
- ๐งฎ Built-in meta-analytic models using robust and reproducible pipelines
- ๐ Searchable database of SEB constructs, measures, sample characteristics
- ๐ Continuously updated through the Living SEB Project workflow
- ๐ฅ Export options for datasets and analysis outputs
